CNC Prototype Samples
CNC Stands for "Computer Numeric Control" In this process a computer converts the design made with drawing software into numbers. The numbers are information, coordinates that control the movement of a machine that cuts and shapes the design from an EPS foam block.
In addition to molded samples from prototype tooling, KB Foam can support the manufacture of CNC samples for fitting purposes. Samples of the highest quality and precision are made in Japan by our parent company Kasahara Industry Co, Ltd. The turnaround will usually be 2 weeks or less from the time we receive the design data files. CNC samples for material evaluation and cushion testing are also available at different densities. The turnaround will depend on the materials available at the CNC production site.
